About the Role
Our client, a top tier supplier of tools and diagnostic equipment, is seeking an experienced and mechanically savvy Junior Category Manager to join their dynamic Commercial & Industrial team. In this role, you will
collaborate closely with the Industrial Sales and Product Management teams, playing a vital role in managing their product portfolio, supporting sales efforts, and driving category success.
This includes handling enquiries from the Industrial Sales team, Industrial Customers and Distributors including technical product and parts enquiries, pricing, quotations, sales support administration, product development and managing supplier relations.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of specialist tools tailored for industrial engine applications.
Sales Support: Partner with the Industrial Sales team to provide technical expertise, ensuring clients receive solutions that meet their unique needs.
Product Research & Communication: Interpret and analyse technical product diagrams, brochures, and specifications to deliver clear, concise product information to internal and external stakeholders.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and opportunities for growth within the industrial tools sector.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the Product Management team to launch new tools and accessories, ensuring alignment with market demands.
Technical Expertise: Leverage mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge to guide product selection, training, and customer presentations.
Qualifications
We are seeking a minimum 2 years in a similar mechanical / technical role. Additionally, hands-on experience or education in mechanics or engineering is highly desirable along with proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams, product documentation, and specifications.
